What is Google My Business? Google My Business (GMB) is a free tool by Google that lets you create, showcase, and oversee a profile for your business, boosting your online presence. Through GMB, you can customize how your business appears on Google.

Steps to Get Your Business on Google Maps:

  1. Go to business.google.com and sign in.
  2. Enter your Business name and click Next.
  3. Choose "Yes" to show your business location on Google. Opt for "No" if you want to keep your address private.
  4. Input the areas your business serves and proceed.
  5. Specify your business category and move forward.
  6. Add your main contact number and website. Google My Business can create a free website based on your information if you don't have one.
  7. Opt for tips to enhance your online business profile (emailed to your connected Gmail account) or skip.
  8. Click Finish and receive guidance on managing your business profile.
  9. Verify your business by entering your address. Google will send a postcard to your address.
  10. After receiving the postcard, log in to your GMB page and click Manage Locations in the left sidebar.
  11. Enter the verification code from the postcard and click Verify.
  12. Once verified, you can fully manage your business listing on the GMB dashboard.

Completing these steps will effectively place your business on Google, connecting you with potential customers and improving your online visibility.
